Yeah makes me sad thinking of people eating these cute little dorks.

Maruchan in a cup is unfortunately the worst ramen out there. If you like spicy and still want to maintain the convenience of a cup, I would strongly recommend that you try Nongshim red (shin ramyun) or black. It's definitely pricier but you will never want to touch Maruchan cup noods again

Buldak is the best instant ramen IMO if you can handle that kind of spice.

Delectable. Too small, though.

Delectable indeed. I like the hint of lime in the cheap broth they use

No to all Maruchan ramen regardless of flavor. Get your ass some Korean rameyon posthaste

Carbo Buldak and Odongtong.

Nissin Raoh Soy Sauce is great. Contains egg and milk though.

Nay. Get dollar store ramen. It's so processed and cheap that they can't afford to include any animal products.

Maruchan/Nissin ramen almost invariably has some meat powder in it, the only one that doesn't is Nissin soy flavor.

I need this dollar store ramen

Store brand 50 cent packets are usually this way.

Many better options out there.

If you have a Chinese/Korean/Japanese grocer available here are my favourites:

Chinese: Master Kang (Kang Shifu) Red braised beef noodle, #2 Wugudaochang Tomato flavour

Korean: Nongshim Black, #2 Gamjatangmyun

Japanese: Nissin black garlic, #2 Nissin Tonkotsu

Also, never eat instant noodles just on their own if you can. Add some veggies like green onion, cilantro, mushrooms, bok choy etc. Maybe an egg or fried tofu if you want some protein.

I've been getting random Korean/Japanese instant noodles and dressing them up with some pan fried veggies and maybe a boiled egg. It's been great, one pack of noodles on its own isn't that filling but once it's rounded out with some veg its a much better meal

That's basically what I've done for a long time, but I use the cheap ramen. Miss me with that $2 a pack of noodles.

I've found the secret is going to Chinatown/wherever your local Asian diaspora shops and buying them there, they're often cheaper than or at least comparable to Mr Noodles or other generics. No hate on those, they've served me well, but they aren't nearly as good as some random $0.75/$1 Korean spicy noodle pack

Some are good, some taste like Spicy lime Taki's

I have enjoyed the plastic wrapped brick version.
