So would 1984 (which I have read) and maybe Fahrenheit 451 (which I have not read) be banned?

1984
It's been one of the most banned books in the US.
Fahrenheit 451
I don't anything about it and bans. I assume it's been a target. Book banners usually don't even read the CliffNotes about the books they want to ban. They operate on vibes. If they think a book might be critical of right-wing power - they want it banned.
You could write a book titled "Criticizing Christianity" that was cover to cover a bunch of pro-evangelical junk and they'd ban it.
Good. Burn all the books and turn every library into a prison to house black students who don't stand for the pledge.
