Even for casual conversations it's getting old. "How's your X day doing" "what made you happy?"

I'm less and less feeling like I relate to most of the things posted not only here but in the fedverse...

how high of a rank do you need to unlock competitive conversation?

[–] Tracked@sopuli.xyz -1 points 18 hours ago

Tier 2 unlock

I mean... That's kinda what casual conversation looks like, no? It can get a little cheesy, sure. But ehh I kinda like someone asking me how my day was hehe

Yes, it's called casual conversation for a reason, you just discuss casual things: your hobbies, your pets, what you've been watching, music etc.

I avoided the top casual conversation topic which is the weather.

Ideally, people would posts their own life stories, but in the meantime those daily posts keep the community active.

OP, if you want more "diverse" discussions, there is !asklemmy@lemmy.world, !asklemmy@lemmy.ml , !nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

Many of them are weekly questions to drive engagement. As long as they keep getting comments, they're serving their purpose.

Personally, I like the Pets Sunday thread and read it every time.

Well, the only way questions show up if someone asks them.

checks post history

Looks like you've submitted three posts, one of which is asking whether people ask the same questions all the time. Can you yourself think up more than two? I mean, I'd reckon that you can, and that if you're asking them, that they'd probably be relevant to you.

Whenever someone complains about post quality I always go to their history. Fediverse is what we make of it. Reddit is easy to lurk in, people will post stuff for you. Here you get what you put into it. Want better posts? Start posting about stuff you like, drum up some conversations. No time like the present

Yeah you just delete the posts so it's harder for the mods to spot that you're a ban evader on his 15th account.

Be the change you want to see...

What posts other than the three on your account did you make?

[–] Tracked@sopuli.xyz -2 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Various, I just erased them after a while, especially if they get toxic

Here is a full list of OP's past accounts. He creates new ones after getting banned for being toxic. His new strategy is deleting posts from his account to hide his tracks. If you scrub through his comment history, you can see the remnants of this behaviour, since Lemmy preserves the titles of posts where someone commented and the fact that they were the OP.

Oh shit, now that's hilarious. Thank you

Yeah we need more content, I agree. Maybe we should either bring in more people from somewhere (in case that is even possible), or we should connect to additional platforms to increase exchanges.

This community is regularly posted on !newcommunities@lemmy.world posts about discussion communities.

After a while I just concluded that people on Lemmy are not that interested in casual conversation
