Concord is such a terrible name it doesn't grab attention at all. The game keep popping up on my feed and i just take a glance and move on. It's Sony's greatest blunder.

Hey, even if Concorde failed doesn’t mean it wasn’t the first commercial plane to break the sound barrier.
400 million and I never even heard of the game.
Pretty massive screw up from the marketing team involved. To try and sell a hero shooter for $40 upfront from an unknown dev studio in a crowded market of free-to-play hero shooters is pretty risky. Even Overwatch 2 saw the writing on the wall and went F2P.
....how does ANY game cost $400,000,000?
No, seriously: does that include an unlimited drugs and hookers for the c-levels budget or something?
the credits for concord list 2000 employees. It was also in development for 6 years (I would guess it probably suffered "development hell")

Wasn't GTA 5 like 100 millions? I mean it's insane but in the ballpark.
265 million in 2013 money which is 358 million in 2024 money.
IIRC, it's more like 250 million, but 250 million is still basically half of whatever this generic-ass live-service FPS game ended up costing, and it's certainly not to the scope or scale of GTA5.
I feel like through could have come up with a copycat hero shooter for like 20 million tops.

The only way to really explain the cost
