This effort for liberals to try to convince decent people to cast a ballot for a genocide-funding cop has made me see some disturbing scratched liberal moments.

One "argument" that liberals abuse the shit out of is that they argue that not voting for Harris is rooted in being a privileged individual who doesn't understand how disgustingly harmful Trump and Project 2025 will be for the underprivileged.

As a transfem, I can sometimes feel like "Schrödinger's trans person" when it comes to libs that try to guilt trip people into voting for Harris for the sake of "protecting marginalized people." I've had people assume, on multiple occasions and on the basis of my race and gender identity alone, that I back Kamala. Sometimes in these instances, I feel hesitant bringing up the truth for the sake of "keeping the peace."

Liberals will hear a trans person make their case for why they support Harris and how they expect her to protect trans rights. Liberals will cheer a person like this on, and they will point to this person to say that those who refuse to vote (D) out of the bare minimum conviction of opposing settler colonialism do not understand how bad marginalized people have it.

However, if I, as a trans person, but not only a trans person, but a black neurodivergent, broke ass transfeminine enby in Florida, affirm that I refuse to vote for Harris, liberals will double down on transphobia and find some way to tie me being trans into some "maleness" that makes me unable to sympathize with the underprivileged. brow

This is so vile that it sounds like a strawman, but let's just say that... when you're interacting with anonymous liberals on social media who don't have to worry about getting their shit knocked out when they say insensitive stuff, you get what you pay for.

Mask-off liberal moments like this actually make me feel a lot more justified than I already am in how distrustful I can be of these awful pieces of shit.

One of my "favorites" I've been hit with is "your trans friends will know you don't really care about them if you don't vote Democrat"

Motherfucker like half of my trans friends are in PSL and were basically working unpaid second jobs to get Claudia de la Cruz on the ballot

Go, Claudia! PSL

More like: "your trans friends will know you don't really care about them after they tell you they don't vote Democrat"

Like with all social minorities, Dem "support" is little more than a thin veneer to support imperialism while still getting to feel like the "good guys"

yeah it was specifically LGBTQ comrades in shared organizing work and study groups that shook me of the last vestiges of my "damage control" liberalism regarding Democrats years ago. It's very funny (well, not really funny) to watch liberals tokenize LGBTQ people as political bludgeons into voting for Democrats when every politically conscious LGBTQ person I've worked and organized with hates the Democrats just as much if not MORE than the Republicans. More because the Democrats use them as this bludgeon which puts them in the line of fire for political points; and also uses them to pinkwash imperialism, which incites reaction against them, which is then used for hostile action and consent-manufactory media stories against imperial targets. The pinkwashers in, and media spectacle behind the Democrat Liberal regime-change and NGO machine fuel anti-LGBTQ prejudices abroad more than anything those domestic LGBTQ people are doing there (usually just living their lives). Pretending to be an ally and in doing so being an even greater enemy. It's a tale as old as time, with the
Huwhite Liberal malcolm-checks

Libs will tell you only Harris can save trans people, when trans people are having their rights taken away left and right in 25/50 states, while Biden has been in office.

I fully expect trans rights as well as Kamala's public positions on trans rights to shift rightward after she potentially wins, similarly to the current Biden/Harris position on immigration. Maybe in small ways, like "we can have trans rights, AND we can have integrity in womens sports" and shit like that but it would still be an awful overall shift.

Frankly the only way for it to shift right is to go from "no mention" to outright hostility or adopting trumpian positions

As a fun exercise I went to https://kamalaharris.com/issues/ expanded all the sections and Ctrl-F for "trans"

The only two results were both fearmongering about "transnational criminal organizations". The only actual mention of trans people implicitly was this:

As President, she’ll fight to pass the Equality Act to enshrine anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQI+ Americans in health care, housing, education, and more into law.

which like, no she won't, but it makes good browbeating material for liberals I guess

Republicans are running openly transphobic political ads. Instead of using the power of the executive to stop the hate speech and punish the bigots, democrats are bragging about being endorsed by hard-core republicans and talking about how they want to put these people in positions of power in Harris' cabinet. They've copied Trump's racist border policy and want to outflank him from the right. Liberals acting like the democrats are some bastion of human rights and equality is maddening

Libs can only see us as their morality pets. They are the protagonists and we are the story device that establishes the goodness of their character. Anything else causes them to have go for the "male socialed" really quickly.

I had two "socialists" get mad at me yesterday for the same reason. Took me an hour to explain why I dont believe Harris will do anything to protect reproductive rights and that the palestinian children who receive the bombs don't make a difference if a white man or a black woman is sending them.

Yet more conclusive proof that Democrats are a brand, not a political position.

I agree but also think this is the wrong way of looking at things.

If you’re a minority in the US, you should accept that you will always be used as an object of convenience by the (white) liberals. The mistake is to think they’re somehow genuine in their support of minorities.

The question is how can you exploit this liberal need of “alleviating their own white guilt by pretending to support minorities” to advance your own political goals. Right now, the Republicans are openly anti-trans, but the Democrats still have to pretend to oppose that. How do you placate the liberals into giving you what you want is the key.

An example here is how China came on top of the geopolitical struggle of the past century, starting as a weak and poor country. When the US was too strong, we sided with the Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union became strong, we sided with the US to crush the Soviet Union. No illusions about anyone being your friends. It’s all about how you play the animosity of both sides and come out on top.
