This seems like a fantastic analogy for the state of humanity.

The local library has an automated revolving door that stops if you touch anything. The people who try to make it go faster slow things down for themselves and everyone else.
I hate systems like that they serve no real purpose. Just my opinion. What does it matter if my finger touched a part of the door at waist high or higher level?
I assume someone figured out that the new doors save pennies a day by keeping the temperature level.
How considerate you must be for others who may be on the other side of the revolving door.
Yes i am. When I go through one that is manual, then I watch to make sure they aren't slower walkers (old/disabled). If they are then I slow down. If no one is over there I go at my own speed. If it's an automatic one then I just walk at the speed it is going. Those things (automatic ones) go slow as hell. My mom doesn't walk very fast (over 70 years old) and she can keep up with them.
If you truly were you would recognize that not everyone cares about the other users whether you claim to or not.
Maybe it isnt about you.
I assume everything that took effort to add/install/build is loss-prevention or profitable.
In this case, I wonder if someone found a Use Case for "pressure against the door" could potentially equal a lawsuit.
Same except the revolving door is in addition agonizingly slow.
You spend at least 15 seconds slowly waddling 1 meter.
That's okay, I like pushing revolving doors, they're fun to use!
(Yes, I know this is probably supposed to be a commentary on freeloaders in general, but revolving doors are fun)
