The man is Christopher Lee though I'm not sure what the reference is. I can't figure out who the woman is either.

Christopher Lee was one of the baddest motherfuckers ever. Like, if there was a scale of 1-10 of badass motherfuckers, Lee would be looking down on the scale and smiling with gentle pity at the people that far down.

Seriously, just his Wikipedia page is more interesting than most people's entire, detailed biography.

He's a legend, one of those people that has such a body of work behind them that any ten people would be lucky to have.

I can’t figure out who the woman is either.

As mentioned in another comment - it's Vera Farmiga and she plays Lorraine Warren, a demonologist, in the Conjuring franchise.

The legend part cones from him being Dracula in the hammer vampire films in the 70s they are great. Also he is the greatest in general as well.
