Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Started following this fella when I watched his videos on making improved Air powered planes like those old Air Hogs toys I used to like. Now his latest video is pretty cool.

did you remove the ?si= from this youtube link to make the bots happy or is youtube getting sneakier with their tracking?

New version of lemmy automatically removes it.

Shutting down hexbear to add useful features is ok I guess.

that's not what happened here though if you look at the url its way too long to be a regular video ID

what happened here is that OP removed just the literal ?si= and left the tracking id in place. youtube just discards anything after the expected video id I guess so it works but kinda defeats the purpose. For a second I thought the lemmy filter did that, or that youtube made the share ID feature sneakier by just appending it to the video ID but looks like the lemmy filter is correctly written and this was just human input, which is comforting I suppose.

Oh yeah neat, taking out the middle bit I did was the trick we used to use to foul the tracking, used to get users and mods in my inbox threatening to remove my links if I didn't
