So happy to finally see people have this mentality. They've took so much from all of us. This is how a revolution starts.

The longer we talk about it, the longer the establishment has to fight (and not lose) the narrative.

is this real? did someone actually hack the sign?

[–] pearsaltchocolatebar@discuss.online 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's stupid easy to hack most of them since they don't usually change the factory default password

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What's the default password?

[–] pearsaltchocolatebar@discuss.online 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Depends on the manufacturer, but iirc a lot of them are all 1s

[–] Sir_Kevin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago

I've also heard D O T S being one of them but that could have been somebody trolling.

I remember in 2005 when someone changed the contained currency denomination on a bunch of Triton ATMs to $5 and stole thousands of dollars using a prepaid debit card, that the default password he used was 123456. Before anyone gets any big ideas, the industry changed their software after that heist to require vendors to change the password during initial setup.

One fewer CEO...at least use correct grammar. We aren't animals.

[–] samus12345@lemm.ee 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

"Fewer" being distinct from "less" is clearly on its way out. The difference is minor enough to make it fairly useless, anyway.

[–] Wiz@midwest.social 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Also the sign is only eight characters wide. "ONE FEWER" wouldn't fit in the line.

I'm a grammar stickler, but I'll allow it.

[–] samus12345@lemm.ee 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

The sign allows for three lines, though, they they could have fit it if they really wanted to.

[–] Wiz@midwest.social 2 points 1 week ago

When I hack the sign, I'll use "FEWER".

[–] noxy@yiffit.net 3 points 1 week ago

the message is clearly understandable as is, what the fuck?
