Nah, there are red/white Santas that pre-date his appearances in Coca-Cola advertising. They did a hell of a lot to standardize red/white Santa.

Modern Santa emerged in the early 1900s, before Coca-Cola adopted him in the 1930's, but the Coke advertising really solidified that specific image of him. This comic is from 1903, with all the modern features.

real santa clause is black and his santa suit is made by phat farm. but the government wont tell you that.
