8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Iowa you should be ashamed of yourselves.
I filled out the form to let my opinion be heard and let her know how I feel about her tenure with Iowa. I've gotta jump on this brain drain train and GTFO. I've never been more disgusted to live in this state.

Oh we are. Can't really call ourselves "Iowa Nice" at this point. No one is trying harder to get 45's attention than Governor Reynolds, aka The Kim Reaper. We've got private school vouchers, we nuked our progressive tax brackets in favor of a flat tax, and we even started our own DOGE.
Alternate headline: Iowa becomes first state to declare that it really doesn't want any tourism dollars at all. Like, none.
Zero money is not less than zero money
I don't think Iowa was that hot of a tourist destination to begin with.
The state fair is probably the main thing. It may possibly turn off college prospects for ISU and UI too. Once upon a time, the lakes were good fun but now they're all cancer and ecoli baths.
What? Are you kidding? You truly have not lived until you've wined and dined in Davenport. The museums and culture impacts of Ankeny speak for themselves. Urbandale obviously needs no introduction.
Elders called couches “Davenports” so we can call it Couch, Iowa.

What even is there to see in Iowa? Corn? We got that in California, along with transgender rights.

And if ya go to the Mojave part ya can also find crazed heatstroked Rednecks who will probably be berating the Germans going to Deathvalley during the summer.

Honestly, any tourist still going to trump's America won't be put off.
