Haha, a large chunk of our society is depressed and traumatized. Haha. This is definitely the fault of the individual and not a symptom of a sick society. Haha.

[–] BobDole@hexbear.net 45 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Being traumatized is bourgeois big-cool

the classic "make up a marxist sounding reason as to why a thing i don't like is bad" replacing actual analysis

[–] kleeon@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

You just haven't yet gotten to Capital volume 4 where Marx introduces the concept of "bourgeois identity"

[–] TraschcanOfIdeology@hexbear.net 49 points 1 week ago

This reeks of ableism. I guess fuck you if you're neuro divergent and need to have space to chill out/decompress because society is built for neurotypical people.

"each and every one of your kind is a parasite" is a normal and healthy reaction to the existence of people who don't want to talk to you.

Hey! It’s what I always scream when the cashier in a store asks me if I want to round up for charity. I can’t even imagine how many pennies this trick has saved me over the years

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 34 points 1 week ago

Nihilistic fash behaviour.

Look, if you really want to hear one of my special interest monologues about Ronnie James Dio, early 1990s JRPGs, or odd-but-not-really-that-obscure electric guitars and/or amps, that's your business, but trust me when I say that I'm doing you a favor.

monologues about Ronnie James Dio

based and holy diver pilled

Jeez, that was harsh. Meanie. And by the way I definitely would not kill and eat a person for lakefront property. I may be an introvert but I also have standards.

[–] isame@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago

Lakefront property isn't sustainable. Now, for a little spot up in the mountains? Now I'm hungry.

[–] Nakoichi@hexbear.net 25 points 1 week ago

Just cuz I am an introvert didn't stop me traveling several thousand miles to meet folks I never knew in person till I showed up at Pine Ridge reservation to help folks I had never spoken to. It was also a very fulfilling experience and one that I cherish to this day. Still an introvert who values my alone time a lot. Fuck this person.

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Is it normal to crash out? I think I've done it a few times but I'm not sure

These people miss that introversion is just how people recharge. Some people recharge from being in a quiet, familiar place surrounded by comforting things and others do so at concerts and social gatherings. It's not really about the other eight hours of your day...

Also, "I have to drive a little farther to meet with my friends" is an interesting read on how this whole country is designed with next to no public transportation, walkable cities, or central planning. Capitalism forces poor people to the outskirts of city centers, but it's the quiet guy next door that's ruining your social life.

Good afternoon. Please face the wall.

[–] scintilla@lemm.ee 17 points 1 week ago

The I don't trust people comment is killing me. I don't trust a lot of people because there is a 50/50 of them wanting people like me dead.

[–] jjsandwich7@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago

I would love to beat this person with a stick

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 17 points 1 week ago

I just don't want to bother anyone.

[–] kleeon@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago

How can you be an introvert when there are so many pleasant people like this one just walking around the streets?

[–] AshenWolf@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

catgirl-disgust

This hurt to read, even if it's just a bad twitter post.

Right? I've killed and eaten at least a dozen Americans and never received a lake house

Meet Rachel - a painfully introverted librarian with dreams of becoming the most prolific cannibal on the Eastern seaboard.

There’s just one problem: crippling social anxiety.

Every attempt to lure victims ends in awkward small talk or panic attacks. Set in a cozy small town full of quirky locals, The Introvert is a dark comedy about one woman's hilarious attempts at murder, therapy, and self-discovery.

[–] RBridger@lemmygrad.ml 13 points 1 week ago

This is how neurotypical people react when you don't want to be friends with them

Introverts houngry

breaking this soylent-fueled rant down cope by cope

"introvert is a bourgeois identity"

frothingfash "PEOPLE WHO ARE OBSERVED TO BE QUIET AND RESERVED RELATIVE TO OTHERS ARE ACTUALLY DEMONS MADE FLESH!!"

off to a brilliant start right away, what a beautiful thing to say but its Xitter.com so lets look at the "reasoning"

""i just don't trust people" say it. say you would kill and eat a person for lakefront property"

frothingfash "I DONT TRUST THAT THE PEOPLE WHO TELL ME THEY HAVE TRUST ISSUES ARENT SECRETLY RABID CANNIBALS!!!!!"

michael-laugh pure irony

"i have to deal with so many of you and you stink of fear. i am not fooled. take a walk. say good afternoon. you are not a toddler"

frothingfash "I SNIFF OUT THE FEAR PHEROMONES EMANATING FROM THE STRANGERS IN MY VICINITY, LIKE CHILDREN, THEY TREMBLE BEFORE ME"

peltier-laugh bro thinks he's a bloodhound

bit stupid to play the chauvinist shaming tactic of comparing behavior to that of children (bozos like this shouldnt be allowed to have any for obvious reasons) because toddlers are usually very friendly to strangers

"all of you collectively take up so much fucking space and it's choking out connections. you are one of the thousand houses, the thousand dead zones, between two friends. you are a castle of silence and you're in the way"

Bro if your discord kitten lives in Chicago and you live in Maine it doesn’t matter how many introverts live in the houses between you, you’d still be the same distance away if those houses blew up tomorrow - anon

i-cant i-cant i-cant

galaxy brained idealism on full display: "the reason why people are atomized and lonely is because other people choose to identify as introverts and thus become subhuman cursed entities which psychically block people from becoming friends (magic exists btw)"

is he trying to do a death stranding reference????

"just kidding. i would never say this. i know you can't handle hearing it"

yeah you'd never say this irl because nobody can handle hearing it without laughing you out of the room

your main point is that introverts are bourgeois because theyre cannibals who psychically prevent friendship from happening irl while also being "toddlers" at the same time

the enemy is strong and weak, where have we seen this before?

TL;DR the void between brainrotjr's ears is where coherent marxist thought goes to die
