I want to add: seeing libs organize rallies in the aftermath of Zelenskyy getting yelled at, kinda sent me over the edge. I am homeless, I depend on food stamps to not starve; I celebrated the New Year waking up in the hospital from a medically-induced coma with a tube down my throat. In other words I almost died from pneumonia; I would have died if not for Medicaid. So it pissed me off seeing a post on /r/Seattle advertising an upcoming rally for Ukraine. The Trump administration is going to cut Medicaid and SNAP and fuck off millions of poor people, myself among them, but I can go fuck myself.
I try to make money primarily by fundraising online, so I can live somewhat like a human being—to have clean clothes, eat breakfast every morning, fill up my car’s gas tank so I can run my heater and stay warm, etc.
These days, most days I’m lucky if one person sends me $20, it feels like (yesterday I actually broke $100; I can’t remember the last time that happened). But there are scores of fundraisers out there raking in tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands for Ukraine. I’m probably going to die soon, I’ll give it a couple years. Nobody cares that I could lose my home, the dark blue Scion that I live out of, because it isn’t registered.
And these fuckers, if you dare point out the obvious derangement they live in, will gang up on you and shit all over you. At least one sub on ~~Stormfront~~ Reddit declared a weird zero tolerance policy for any challenge to what they deemed the “correct” opinion re: Ukraine. Even something as common sense as “Why should working class people give a fuck about Ukraine?” was Russian propaganda. Fucking deranged.
