I guess its a play on the fact that some people believe crystals having magical properties having healing energy etc. but in this case even if one does not believe in the crystal energy stuff the addition of the eyes makes it look so cute that it has the intended effect regardless.
Oh so now I know why a crystal I saw on vinted this week had eyes ... Thought it was strange
