It's better than nothing, but the senator should've brought Garcia back with him.

(Or at least gotten him out of El Salvador and into some country that actually respects civil rights, as if I were Garcia I'm not sure I'd want to venture back into US jurisdiction at this point anyway.)

I haven't even been mistreated and I still found it worthwhile to leave the US, about 4 years ago. I didn't see all of this coming in detail , but I knew fascism was quite undefeated even after Biden won. When RBG died, I knew I had to start making ready.

But you're right, it's just way more than I've been conditioned to expect from a senator.
