To be fair, that's not going to help them this harvest.

Schulz says he voted for President Donald Trump and believes in the goals of his tariff plan, to bring manufacturing back to the U.S. and expand exporter access to foreign markets.

“In the long run I think it will be a good thing," He said.

I find myself hoping they have the day they voted for

It's not like Tariffs were expected in Trump's playbook ahead of the elections, right?

Dude wishes he had a second face.

Oh, yah, the 2T a year in domestic industrial spending that started after COVID has fell to 0 since Trump started changing trade policy every time he had his diaper changed. That should jumpstart domestic manufacturing.

That's so awful for them. That they voted for exactly this, I mean—that was just an awful, short-sighted decision. Oh well.

The fact they still say they have faith in the dipshit is astounding

[–] melechric@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

The massive amount of cognitive dissonance is infuriating.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

No, you're frustrated that they don't have cognitive dissonance when they should. They are not suffering mentally, at all.

A very interesting video about how alfalfa farming affects water and the climate. https://youtu.be/XusyNT_k-1c

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 17 points 5 days ago

Alfalfa

also most of the alfalfa is going to Saudia arabia to feed thier cows anyways.

[–] kevlar21@lemm.ee 11 points 5 days ago

Great video! They should’t be growing that shit here anyway

[–] khannie@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago

That is a superb video. Thanks for the link.

This video is great! Off topic, but I find it funny that the presenter is so pale white because he seems like the kinda guy that would be outdoors a lot.

Getting an education on stuff I only knew a little about. Good one OP.

Fucking good. Alfalfa takes a ton of water, so it's basically other countries taking water from drought-stricken regions of the US for pennies on the dollar. It sucks water out of California they don't have to spare, it sucks water out of the Colorado river that violates the multi-state (and w/ Mexico) compact.

Is it pronounced alf-alfa or alfa-lfa

Ty that would've been my last guess.

[–] gamermanh@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 5 days ago

God, I hope it does. Those here in CA, too. Alfalfa shouldnt be grown where we grow it and I'm so happy to see the Trump supporters get what they voted for

I'll be joyous when I see local farms fail, I can think of 3 that rely on alfalfa exporting to survive and I do hope they starve

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Like Iv'e been saying anytime I see this whiny crap. You farmers should keep voting for magats.

[–] tehn00bi@feddit.org 1 points 5 days ago

Sad.

Now time for, voting has consequences, how you’ve been made a fool for listening to the idiot box.
