If that pizza was family sized that is a massive dachshund. π
Dogs
All about dogs - dog breeds, dog training and behavior, news affecting dog owners or handlers, puppy pics, etc.
Rules (Will be refined later on).
-
Don't be a dick. This should cover most things, just keep in mind that everyone started somewhere and try to be helpful rather than rude or judgmental.
-
No personal attacks based on training style or tools.
Discussion of balanced training including proper use of aversives is allowed here. -
All breeds and mixes are welcome. You can criticize backyard breeding practices but don't pile on people because they own a specific breed or prefer purebreds or mixed breeds.
-
Do not support backyard breeders or puppy mills. Please do not link to or suggest buying from high volume breeders or those with an obvious lack of standards and testing.
-
Do not help or support fake service animals. Please do not encourage people to buy fake service dog vest or ESA letters to get around rental or other restrictions & do not give advice on how to misrepresent a dog as a service or support animal.
I can't tell if the dog is massive or if it's the camera lens. I know my dachshund mix is huge because she is mixed with (probably) Jack Russell terrier, and she is thicc. Tons of muscle.
That might just be the family size in Australia
Entirely possible, but it looks more like a north America personal size in the pic. π Maybe Aussies don't like their pizza as much us North Americans do.
In the US that box holds one slice, I reckon.
Depends on where in the US. NYC? one slice for sure.
Where I'm from that box would hold a 4 slice personal pizza. Six if you're lucky.
Standard Dachsund's are pretty big -especially compared to the miniature π§
It's never the dog's fault. That face is telling me "I know I wasn't supposed to do that, but I couldn't not do it, because I'm just a dog."
Pup be like
I made herb roasted chicken. That dog is a hero indeed.
That dog isn't that big, that must've been a deep dish to be family size
He is doing food prep for when he will be in the wild on that island https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/escaped-dog-in-australia-is-rescued-after-529-days-alone-in-the-wilderness/ar-AA1DLb3X
I remember buying a cheese steak and eating it while driving back to wherever I was coming from. I was making a left hand turn and as I rounded the intersection my little monster snatched that shit right out my right hand. Went to the back and proceeded to devour it as I helplessly watched incoherently cursing in the rearview. Little fucker didn't even share it with his mother either. Boy I miss my little ones!
i had rats once. If you DARED eat something they wanted without giving them any, you can get they would try and snatch that shit outta ya hand. Hell, even if you gave them some, they'd still want the rest of it.
I had rats too. Catseye and Pury. Very kind little Beastie's. They loved my waterbed. My cat didn't seem to mind them and kind of knew they were part of the family. Pretty strange behavior for a cat IMO.
Ratties are great. I vowed to not get anymore because of their short lifespans. My heart just canβt take it
If your dog does this make sure to watch them for bloat, because they could actually die.
