Instead of "Skin a cat", try "Groom a pussy."

You're thinking of the ATF and dogs. PETA will euthanize your cat by lethal injection to save it from a life of slavery (apparently they don't realize the cats are the masters)

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Nah they will just give it a shot of something and kill it.

Get two birds stoned at once

[–] Obi@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

That's what I'd do with a million dollars.

Quick reminder: PETA animal shelters kill more animals than any other animal shelter in the area they operate. The AKC has asked PETA to stop killing animals.

They've also been known to trespass onto people's property, steal their pets and almost immediately kill them.

That's disingenuous because PETA shelters do not selectively take in animals with a high chance of adoption. From Wikipedia:

In 2012, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said that it had in the past considered changing PETA's status from "shelter" to "euthanasia clinic", citing PETA's willingness to take in "anything that comes through the door, and other shelters won't do that."

You really need to give a source if you make such a claim.

[–] Darkaga@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

You can just go to PETA's site. They actually advocate against no-kill shelters.

A contest where the American kennel club comes out looking like the good guy

There's more than one way to wear a hat.

[–] QuoVadisHomines@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That’s actually a good replacement

Pin the bat?

I regularly feed three birds with one biscuit. Two with a scone would be as easy as drowning kittens

They replaced anti animal language with anti plant language. Just because roses have thorns does not mean they are objects!

Just wait until... who ever flower PETA is comes, and finds sayings with stones.

[–] Albbi@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 month ago

I actually quite like "Feed a fed horse".

[–] egrets@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

This has Ken M vibes.

[–] CombatWombat1212@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Jokes aside you guys should try these. They're actually so fun. Feed a fed horse is a go-to of mine.

[–] glibg@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Absolutely. I use feed two birds with one scone all the time.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Adoption of this one is heavily dependent on how you pronounce scone.

Also I'm not sure if the birds prefer jam or cream on the top.

[–] TheAvarageNerd@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I'd say neither. It probably inhibits their aerodynamics. Better to put that stuff on the scone.
