Guys, I'm actually crying now. I haven't cried in years. Considering she spent the first 2 years of high school in lockdown and up until a month ago was drowning in school work and nearly giving up I'm immensely proud.

If I hear one, just ONE, more client saying "I meant to send you this last week, but I forgot. Can I have the documents by 3pm cos I need them for settlement with the bank." I will DO SOMETHING I WILL REGRET LATER. Am now officially entering hermit mode until I can face the (allegedly) human race again.
PS I think there's something in the water in Sydney that causes accountants to blow a gasket if you need more than 15 minutes (total) to:
Reinstate a defunct company that ASIC deleted for non-payment of annual fees. (This usually takes 3 months).
Change that company's name
Deregister another company
Change the trustee company for 3 interrelated trusts with all the benefit going to 3 separate super funds
Issue super fund updates (new deeds) for the 3 funds in 4) above. and
they want a volume discount.

EDIT: On the up side, I had the great privilege of addressing a parcel to a gentleman named Huw Janos. I bet he has to spell his name out a lot. And had a terrible time in primary school. Some parents should be shot before they have a chance to produce offspring let alone name them.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha the RE cancelled the inspection because the agent who was meant to come do it was so sick he couldn't drive and his parents had to come pick him up. I hope he feels better soon!
But it does mean that I suddenly don't have anything to do until later tonight. So I'm touching up my nail polish and enjoying the clean house I worked my butt off for. Mein liebe also managed to do the bathroom last night, at like midnight ๐ but I'm proud of him for doing it! He hadn't taken his medication so was struggling (ADHD), and I knew if I just did it he would feel worse for having done nothing lol. Anyway, time to enjoy my cuppa and let my nails dry - I'm so happy I stopped chewing/biting my nails so I can actually use nail polish

It sure is the day for winning! I was a bit of a brain dead zombie at work but managed to still get 7.5 hours of work done and had a nice glug of the fancy umeshu and now I'm safely ensconced at home. I DON'T NEED TO THINK ABOUT ANYTHING! It's a good old regular Friday blob out but this time I feel like I've really deserved it.
I think I'm going to start watching Murderbot.
I don't have much in terms of a super yummy dinner at home tonight but that's all good because I'm going to my aunts house to help out once again tomorrow, and this time I've guilt tripped her into making heaps of yummy food, the leftovers of which I know she will insist I bring home with me. She's a great cook so I'll be feasting.
I'm going to see my best friends tomorrow. I legit think I'm going to get emotional.

I found a rare shell in perfect condition. It will be put in the shell cabinet. I might also inform the museum of the sighting and take it in for an ID. ( there have only been 196 scientific sightings )

My Myki worked! But then on the train someone mentally unwell got on board with no shirt on and was shouting at nobody. He sat a few blocks of seats away from me (but facing me), kept talking / shouting. I could hear him through my headphones. Then he got up and started approaching people sitting in the train and talking / shouting in their faces. Most people's strategy was to ignore, some people got up and walked off before he got too close. I sat perfectly still. One person was talking to him, asking questions about where he was going and who he was going to see, and that seemed to calm him down. Then he came to where I was sitting and asked to use my "camera" (the camera on my phone which I was gripping tightly in my hand). I said no, and he started repeating the question more angrily. My body just froze up during all of this, after the pumpkin episode and all. Getting ready to defend myself if he tried to snatch the phone or attack me. Lucky the man who had been talking to him noticed what was happening and asked him a question, he turned away and kept talking to him. And eventually got off at Footscray. That was not the relaxing train trip I had in mind for this morning.
Sometimes, often lately, I dislike work in general.
I've said it before: 5 day work weeks are the biggest lie sold to us.
Yeah! Thumps table Who decided we should work for about FIVE DECADES of our lives, 5 days a week, one third of our day? Work-rest-play my arse!

I am looking forward to the day I unpack my sandwich press, having to toast my sandwiches in the frying pan is a bit of a pain.
But today's sandwich was pretty awesome anyway
Dried apples, apricots, salted cashews and peanuts, and some of those 'pork crackling' chip things have been packed into a lunchbox for my dinner tomorrow night.
I ate some that was still left in the packets and now I'm going to explode ๐ฅ
It looks like once the fog burns off it's going to be a nice day. Tomorrow looks good too, which is fabulous as I have washing to do, and Mr Woof will also be thrilled as it encourages me to go on longer walks. I might even go up past the cows and kangaroos again. But I also need to get through more unpacking and sorting, which is all in the boring inner room with a view of the fence โน๏ธ
Covid vaccine has left me mildly headachey and feeling like I got punched in the arm but otherwise ok. Touch wood.

Rode the regular bike to work and remembered how much work it really is. I think it's easy to underestimate on an electric bike because you're still pedaling.

I found a rare species of shell I haven't found before. A Segraves Cone. They are rare, they are deep water and rarely get washed up.
The park along the beach and the roads have been blocked by torn up bushes and thick layers of sand and seaweed.
The beaches look clean. It's a lovely day and boats were going out to fish ๐
