For anyone missing context. This is a vote on officially classifying Palestine Action as a terrorist group. It would then mean that any act of supporting or 'recklessly' engendering support for it would be punishable by up to 14 years in jail.

What did they do to be branded terrorists? They put some red paint on two military planes.

Is Bernie Sander's brother still a green rep?

He was the Health Spokesman for them up until 2021. I don't know what if anything he does now. He tried to become a Green MP candidate at one point but did pretty badly. He was like the sixth choice or something.

EDIT: they abstained.

Did Plaid Cymru abstain? I cannot find the proscription vote on any of their voting records, which I would have expected to be there under "abstain". Im aware Welsh MPs cannot vote on certain bills in England.

Liz Saville Roberts, for example, spoke in commons against the proscription, but didn't actually have a vote recorded for it. Any electoralist heads know more?

Can't find anything on what way they voted either.

It does seem really weird that Plaid MPs would abstain from this vote considering the party line on the genocide Israel's carrying out in Gaza.

Absolutely. Given it does appear they abstained im really disappointed in the PC leadership. It was well known the vote would go the government's way but abstention is just a clear admission that they wanted to avoid any awkward questions.
