Italians have 377 words for "pasta", but none for "love" ๐Ÿ˜”

tortellini isn't pasta, it's a dumpling. in this essay I will

Or alternatively, maybe this vindicates the pasta/noodle distinction. Spaghetti is a noodle. Tortellini and ravioli are dumplings. But all of them are pasta...

My god. I didn't mean to but I think I just stared into the abyss.

[โ€“] TraschcanOfIdeology@hexbear.net 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And the abyss has stared back and said "culurgiones are dope"

[โ€“] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

culurgiones

They are live gyoza in a science fiction movie.

Sardinia feels like it came from a weird-ass novel, so you're not wrong.

Cavatappi is the best pasta, there is no comparison.

[โ€“] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

Cavatappi

That sounds like a Finnish anime character.

It*lians are like trains-people but for dough

[โ€“] CarbonScored@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

Conchiglie? Fusilli? Ravioli?!

Elbows? Even Americans call them macaroni, why add more names and confusion?

[โ€“] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

Seriously though - what the hell.
