I feel like DeSantis has already wasted whatever shot he may have had at President. Running against Trump was a stupid idea
Stupid ideas are very on brand for DeSantis, they're pretty much the only ideas he has.
Don't leave out the third man. Hannity, January 6th participant-via-phone and Trumpsucker extraordinaire, will make absolute bank off of this.

Gavin Newsom are slated to go head-to-head on the debate stage next week, a culmination of months of rising tensions between the two.
The long-teased event, hosted by Fox News, marks a climax in the ongoing feud between the governors, with Newsom criticizing DeSantis for sending migrants to California and the Florida governor taking aim at Newsom for people leaving California to move to Florida.
The debate will be broadcast live from Alpharetta, Ga., but will not feature an audience in attendance, which Fox said will allow the governors equal opportunity to respond to and address each issue.

I guess I don't really understand how this helps Newsom or the Dem party for 2024.
Newsom, along with a majority of democrats, is hoping Biden will drop out or something for 2024. But really, these are just two governors about to hit their term limits trying to pump their own tires. They're both presidential hopefuls that only have a chance if the front runner quits or dies.
