I'm not a madridista but I don't feel great about it. The goat deserved to retire at Real as a one club man.

Same. I love him. He got a lot of undeserved critique this season. People expected him to play as a UCL winning starting right back. That is not what he is. Hes put in great shifts there but its unreasonable to expect that from him week in week out.

Having said that many players choose to play a couple years post big club for some money. Like Nacho left last year instead of retiring.
