Under the new classification, Schedule G, federal employees will be subject to hiring and firing by the president

Trump signed an executive order on Thursday creating a new classification of federal employees who would be subject to hiring and firing by the president, Schedule G, for employees working on policy, in the latest action by his administration to reshape the federal workforce.

The non-career classified employees will be expected to leave in changing presidential administrations, with the order claiming it will “improve operations, particularly in agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs, by streamlining appointments for key policy roles”.

The order did not cite how many employees would fall under the new classification.

A nazi facsist dictator will dictate nazi fascism.

He did this at the end of his first term too. Biden overturned it. Trump had just learned how to become a dictator at the end of his first term, now he's using all those lessons.

Trump's staff learned those lessons.

I'm sure the atrophied, lesioned Adderall riddled gray jello in his skull barely remembers breakfast.

Hamberders!

Biden could have used it to prevent fascism. He chose not to.

I'm not saying both parties are the same, but party is actively making things worse while the other is happily letting them do it while fighting against anyone trying to stop them.

Maybe capitalism needs to be removed from politics.

How could he have used it to prevent fascism? That's a nice thing to say, but how would that work?

By making himself a Schedule G employee and firing himself halfway through the term, allowing reasonable time for other candidates to start vying for position as the Democratic nominee. Duh.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

The part he missed was the "other candidates to start vying for position" by essentially nominating the next candidate on his own.

Full agree. Biden absolutely REFUSED to defend this country. Not only that but he kept telling us that the domestic terrorists were his friends.

ALL Americans continue to refuse to defend their country.

Just when you couldn't beat the dead horse of crippling your own government enough, you throw it in a wood chipper and aim the other end at the public. Again, congress can't be bothered to do their job and check this shithead because they could easily start taking away his fancy executive paper and to where he can't have it back until the next president who isn't him or his family or anyone associated with him. This orange idiot is a micro manager from the 9th level of hell if he's sitting there and appointing federal employees in every god damn department at every level that has "Schedule G" employees.

This will make it easier to clean up his mess

[–] NJSpradlin@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

Sure, but he’s going to use it now to further enable him to not have to give the power up in 3-4 years.

[–] DandomRude@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Didn't he and his gang just approve an astronomical budget for his secret police? I guess the salaries for these puppets will be added to that.

Hmmm, building a fascist dictatorship seems to be really expensive...

[–] altkey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago

One branch go rule them all, one fascie to be exact.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 7 points 2 days ago

Haven't we warned against Schedule F for years? What's Schedule G then? Also part of the christofascist playbook called Project 2025, or something they made up?

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Don’t forget trumps on the list.
