Hugely underestimating the natural charisma it takes to make content like this. Most folks just getting out of prison do not have it.

My neighbor is my drinking buddy. One random night, he told me about how he was in prison for twenty years after killing a punk. I thought it would be weird but it wasn't.

Nice dude. But could not hold a conversation.

[-] Cqrd@lemmy.dbzer0.com 22 points 6 months ago

I can't hold a conversation and I haven't killed anyone

[-] Lifter@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 6 months ago

Might as well do it, I guess...

[-] Hellstormy@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

Can just improve things, right?

[-] Agent641@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

How does one acquire this 'charisma'?

[-] xantoxis@lemmy.world 113 points 6 months ago

With any charisma at all, this would definitely work.

I knew the actors were legit.

Pain is an illusion but these cops are real!

It's pretty hard to beat that when it comes to experience

[-] arymandias@feddit.de 47 points 6 months ago

‘How about you just start a restaurant’ vibes.

[-] m0darn@lemmy.ca 31 points 6 months ago

Just want to mention that I think a lot of parole stipulations could make this infeasible.

[-] shalafi@lemmy.world 40 points 6 months ago

No idea on the details, but some countries/states/jurisdictions/etc. do not allow you to profit from past crimes.

But if framed carefully? Maybe? "I'm just providing a video game review based on my past experiences." Bet there's a way to pull this off.

The Insider channel has done tons of videos like this, several featured an actual ex-bak robber.

"Alright so today we're reacting to movie rape scenes..."

[-] ShitOnABrick@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

I call it the bill Cosby special

[-] Aggravationstation@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

Now, you see, the red necks fucked Ned Beatty in the ass with the squealing like a pig.

[-] littlebluespark@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

Oh, is that what they call Tony Jaa now?

[-] UntouchedWagons@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 months ago

Sorry I don't know the reference.

[-] littlebluespark@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago
[-] Cruxifux@lemmy.world 0 points 6 months ago

Sorry I don’t speak French.

[-] echodot@feddit.uk 14 points 6 months ago

Although given the fact that he got caught and arrested, I somewhat I'm doubtful of his bona fides.

Also who doesn't know about dye packs?

As long as it was an fdic insured bank...

[-] Scrof@sopuli.xyz 10 points 6 months ago

At that point it's community service.

[-] iHUNTcriminals@lemm.ee 3 points 6 months ago
[-] KevonLooney@lemm.ee 9 points 6 months ago

Except for the PTSD for the people working at the bank. He pled to aggravated assault.

[-] PriorityMotif@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

It depends on which state, but that's basically just saying that a person felt threatened.

[-] IvanOverdrive@lemm.ee 8 points 6 months ago

a la Larry Lawton.

Dude gets a bit rambly, but it's mostly good content.

[-] Mango@lemmy.world 8 points 6 months ago

I would sub.
