There is a whole lot of female celebrities on there. Is the implication that they visited this island to potentially indulge in the abuse as well?

Rich folk that knew Epstein enough to have been invited to the island.
Some may have been potential victims, involved in Hollywood nepotism or money fuckery. But they are tainted by association.
Remember Epstein didn't kill himself. Those that did it did it in broad daylight and didn't get caught (yet). So I'd be surprised if the worst offenders are even on the list at all.

Seeing Stephen Hawking on that list is wild
One of the news outlets mention this in particular. Apparently Epstein was trying to legitimize the people he had contact with. He saw inviting Hawking as a way to make his guest list less incriminating.
"Your honor, let me remind the jury that my client is friends with a man in a wheelchair"
I think the just was to try to get more legitimate people invited to the party so every invite list wasn't just sex trafficking hit list. They said that he covered this concept in some of his personal communications that were also released.
The sky is blue.
And without evidence…. This list means nothing.
It means don't let these people watch your kids.
Nothing "allegedly" about it, they ARE linked. Whether or not they did anything wrong (and they almost certainly did), being mentioned in those court documents is literally a link to Epstein.
You'd think that someone writing for NPR would at least be literate enough to understand what all the words they use mean..
Linked includes victims and people who didn't take the bait. Keep that in mind before you set up the guillotine
