Today is a good day for my childhood to die.

I'm realizing now I saw Atreyu have his good day to die moment long before I got into Trek. It's a rather heavy story now that I think about it.

I legitimately was terrified of that... thing... while I was a child. This post at least gives me a reason to be. Jesus Christ.

No wonder as an adult I'm comfortable playing games like dead space and resident evil alone in the dark with headphones on for maximum immersion - I've been exposed to incomprehensible horrors since I've been able to remember!

'Because people without hopes and dreams are easier to control.'

Fuck! Shit. Jesus.

Let me just flip on some Fern Gully to clean the palette...Oh, ffs.

I get by just fine on a steady breakfast of skepticism and for dinner a hearty serving of cynicism.

Nonsense! Why would they think glory would be caring children?

The children must learn to battle their fears!
