TTFA (time to fall asleep) is such a huge efficiency drop in my opinion. Wish i could just have a wile e coyote style cartoonishly giant mallet I could bonk myself in the head with and just pass the fuck out immediately ya know, I got shot to do not lie around

Not in my experience. It's an anxiety medicine but it's great for sleep. Klonopin is habit-forming, but as a once-in-a-while sleep aid, it's really awesome. I have the ones that dissolve under your tongue for fast action.

Habit-forming

Say no more i'm fuckin out of here

[–] Dirk@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago

Well, actually ...

[–] fahfahfahfah@lemmy.billiam.net 3 points 2 years ago

Could always try melatonin tablets. They work pretty well for me and my highly anxious ADHD son.

Wake up to 5 alarms that got replaced by another alarm.

I've started doing a 'two sleeps' kinda thing. Sleep four hours at night, and three around midday. Haven't felt better.

If I can't get enough at night, I simply sleep some more midday, and vice versa.

Boss's hate this one simple trick, bathroom stall naps

[–] ShortFuse@lemmy.world 11 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Haven't felt better.

Poor choice of words?

[–] Tikiporch@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah, did they mean they have never felt better or have not improved?

[–] Katzastrophe@feddit.de 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

English isn't my first language, I just feel extremely well rested nowadays

[–] Voyajer@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It made sense to me. I interpreted it as a variation on "never felt better".

[–] CoggyMcFee@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Yes, it definitely makes sense in context, especially if I figure the person isn’t a native speaker. If I thought the person was a native speaker, I might double check with them on that one

[–] Gonzako@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

I do the same! I mainly just rest whenever I feel tired and I settled into this. No forced sleeps, all the energy I want. Perfect

I remember when they first invented chocolate...

[–] user224@lemmy.sdf.org 9 points 2 years ago

So much sleep?

[–] Yokozuna@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Looks like they died from natural causes.

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I know that feeling. Tfw even taking melatonin doesn't compensate for the lost hours

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Dooon't take melatonin if you aren't about to get a full night's sleep omg that's the opposite of helpful

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

At least it helps me sleep more deeply and fast in those 5 hours
