It's incredible how many people waste time walking in many situations where you could just fall.

[–] Datas_Cat_Spot@startrek.website 36 points 1 year ago

This should be in one of those grindset tip videos.

[–] BottleOfAlkahest@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Life hack: never walk when you can use gravity to get there faster.

[–] ivanafterall@kbin.social 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That looks potentially survivable. Where do I sign?

[–] Datas_Cat_Spot@startrek.website 22 points 1 year ago

Well, first on these twelve waivers.

[–] teft@startrek.website 29 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Imagine that hike back up after a full day of swimming and beach fun. I'd be sleeping at the bottom and attempting it in the morning.

[–] Datas_Cat_Spot@startrek.website 19 points 1 year ago

Or after a few beach drinks

[–] itsmistermoon@feddit.cl 24 points 1 year ago (1 children)

When you walking down the steps and the LiveLeak logo appears

[–] Geriatrickid@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

"Pretty sure if I move down those treacherous stairs fast enough I'll outrun this logo"

[–] awesome_person@lemm.ee 21 points 1 year ago (2 children)

drop some water on there and turn it into a water slide

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

String a dozen slipe-n-slides together and you're good

[–] Datas_Cat_Spot@startrek.website 11 points 1 year ago

This is good advice in many areas of life

[–] moistclump@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Anyone else try to use a mattress to go down stairs? It would never work as well as it felt like it should. Darn friction and carpeted houses from the 90s.

[–] violetraven@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Yes, but then you had those stairs that weren't and some body was creating a hole in drywall

[–] stinkpad@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago

If anyone’s wondering where this is, it’s the top of Jacob’s Ladder in Jamestown, St Helena.

[–] autokludge@programming.dev 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

5 minutes to the beach, 20 minutes from the beach. That's a serious trek.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's also somehow located in the middle of the Amazon river, already flooded, and selling for $500k USD.

[–] TunaCowboy@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Damn, that's a pretty good deal, got a link?

[–] doopen@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Tony hawk's Pro skater 2 level design be like:

Achievement: Bluntside the Beach Steps

[–] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.de 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The cliff is sloping but it’s fine, just turn into a goldfish halfway through. You’ll make it. We’re gods.

Imagine carrying your groceries from Costco... it's going to take a couple of trips honey.

[–] Goodtoknow@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Instead of bulk buying from Costco, if possible support a locally ownedgrocery store and make smaller walkable/bikeable trips, not only better environmentally but better for your local economy (and possibly healthier)

Also WinCo sells bulk foods and is majority employee owned

[–] gothicdecadence@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

I love WinCo!

[–] 30isthenew29@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

8 seconds to get in the water!

[–] radioactiveradio@lemm.ee 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Does the dragon warrior get chosen there?

I need to ask you to stop that. That... shouting...

[–] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

That calls for a sick skateboarding trick...

From the Jackass crew. sicko-wistful

[–] Anamana@feddit.de 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Like in the GameCube Sonic games?

[–] HubertManne@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago

House I grew up in had stairs up to the porch that was like 6ft up/down distance. Would not recommend. Especially in places were ice and snow are a thing.

[–] kersk@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

RIP to any unfortunate door dashers

[–] Hellstormy@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

This needs a water slide besides it!

[–] Donger@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Let me get my soap shoes real quick.

I loved mine, but I think I'd break my back now.

[–] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 year ago

That's the staircase John Wick fell down in JW4. Lol.

If you grind down that you get the top score. A whole game of Tony Hawks HORSE worth. Just remember to wear a helmet, don't want to get hurt

[–] Datas_Cat_Spot@startrek.website 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

But remember to ollie a few times on the way down for the multiplier

[–] Batman@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 year ago

It's a little risky but for double the points you'd be a fool not to
