but you can anonymously receive donations through fanbox?
I have set up FANBOX in a way which makes us feel comfortable about receiving donations through them. Unfortunately, I can't disclose more about the setup.
FANBOX was added weeks after the comment you are replying to. Their terms allow us to receive donations without the risk that going through PayPal and/or Stripe directly would place upon us.
