I'm all for making fun of the Cybertruck, and anything from Felon Husk really, but I'd bet real money that thumbnail photo was doctored. I tried searching around for verified photos of rust but nothing substantial came up from a reputable source. Anyway, just wanted to point this out.
Fuck Cars
This community exists as a sister community/copycat community to the r/fuckcars subreddit.
This community exists for the following reasons:
- to raise awareness around the dangers, inefficiencies and injustice that can come from car dependence.
- to allow a place to discuss and promote more healthy transport methods and ways of living.
You can find the Matrix chat room for this community here.
Rules
-
Be nice to each other. Being aggressive or inflammatory towards other users will get you banned. Name calling or obvious trolling falls under that. Hate cars, hate the system, but not people. While some drivers definitely deserve some hate, most of them didn't choose car-centric life out of free will.
-
No bigotry or hate. Racism, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, chauvinism, fat-shaming, body-shaming, stigmatization of people experiencing homeless or substance users, etc. are not tolerated. Don't use slurs. You can laugh at someone's fragile masculinity without associating it with their body. The correlation between car-culture and body weight is not an excuse for fat-shaming.
-
Stay on-topic. Submissions should be on-topic to the externalities of car culture in urban development and communities globally. Posting about alternatives to cars and car culture is fine. Don't post literal car fucking.
-
No traffic violence. Do not post depictions of traffic violence. NSFW or NSFL posts are not allowed. Gawking at crashes is not allowed. Be respectful to people who are a victim of traffic violence or otherwise traumatized by it. News articles about crashes and statistics about traffic violence are allowed. Glorifying traffic violence will get you banned.
-
No reposts. Before sharing, check if your post isn't a repost. Reposts that add something new are fine. Reposts that are sharing content from somewhere else are fine too.
-
No misinformation. Masks and vaccines save lives during a pandemic, climate change is real and anthropogenic - and denial of these and other established facts will get you banned. False or highly speculative titles will get your post deleted.
-
No harassment. Posts that (may) cause harassment, dogpiling or brigading, intentionally or not, will be removed. Please do not post screenshots containing uncensored usernames. Actual harassment, dogpiling or brigading is a bannable offence.
Please report posts and comments that violate our rules.
Photoshopped clickbait pictures have been the norm for long enough for me to assume they're all fake these days.
There's such a strive for user attention people will do anything for it
yeah…doesn't mean I have to like it though! 😅
Wow, great work Sherlock
It's obviously fake but also intentionally deceiving, no? The lack of honesty is disappointing if you ask me.
Either it's obviously fake, or deceiving. Both can't be true.
BTW: look at covers of old magazines. Exaggerated Photoshops are a perfectly normal way to point at a problem. One might call it stylized: https://files.magzter.com/resize/magazine/1452683603/1528432176/view/3.jpg
You mean it's not obvious?
But dam near all car headlights blind other drivers now. Its to the point that I have to keep sun glasses in my car when I drive at night. As someone with photophobia I use to like my night drives for work but now it's just as bad as driving during the day.
Saw this today. Some kind of front center ultrahighbeam blots out the plate as you can see and was way more blinding than it seems in the photo.
There are legitimate uses for these kind of lights on work vehicles, but they should never be used on public roads. Using these in a city is pure, 100% distilled assholery.
It's not just that light. Those trucks are so high up the regular lights are right at eye level and they are already too god dam bright.
But that's because the driver is a selfish asshole that has to show his wealth as much as possible, not because the factory designed the luxury vehicle disguised as a truck like that
I actually think these kinds of lights are to stop speed cameras from being able to read your plate.
You can do a better job with high-intensity infrared leds, and it won't bother everyone around you. It's possible it would be easy to detect by police and may be illegal in some areas.
So that beam in the pic is not factory (dude is still a douche of course). But the point in the video is that the cybertruck is like that straight from Tesla, which is extra unacceptable.
I would never do this because I'm not a huge cunt who doesn't care about the safety of others but fuck I wana just blind people like that with high powered laser pointer.
Present day John DeLorean
You take that back!
How long until Musk gets busted for drug trafficking?
Stainless steel body is cool and all. But just plain metal sheets, no coats, no paint, untreated? What the hell are they thinking? Stainless steel are not magic, they have limitations.
Reminds me of the homermobile
I doubt any have rusted this bad. But that looks cool in a way. I would proudly drive that.
