Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Quinn’s Ideas is fucking awesome. The way most presenters shark eye pendulum stare into your sole during video essays is surprisingly rampant. Quinn doesn’t put his face in most of his videos and it’s amazing in addition to so of the best sci fi video coverage I’ve personally seen.

Watch the 2023 Chinese version instead.

Have you actually seen the Netflix one? I haven't seen it yet because I was going to assume it was terrible just like the Netflix Death Note or Dragonball Evolution or The Hobbit, but the youtuber say's it's actually good and explains their reasoning.

Ah, fair. I didn't see the video. I may check it out though. Thanks! Sorry for being close-minded in this case.

I’d trust a Quinnsideas recommendation on most things. One of the best of booktube to be honest.

Gotcha. Yeah, generally, BookTube kinda sucks.

I found a YouTube link in your post. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

I wasn't planning on watching it, but Quinn really likes the books. So if he is recommending the adaptation I might give it a shot.

I love the existential concepts in the books, but I do not recommend them to anyone for a lot of reasons. This show will hopefully be a way for the ideas to reach more people.
