I really want to make mines work. Just turn the entire planet into a minefield and hope for the best.

The only upgrade I haven't unlocked is the 0 deployment time for the minefields. I wonder if that would help at all.

It can't hurt!

It still takes a while for it to land, but it can make it easier to throw in front of a patrol

Just don't step on them, what's the problem?

[–] BluesF@lemmy.world 8 points 8 months ago (1 children)

The problem is I step on them. And then I go back to get my jump pack and I step on them again.

Throw a grenade

The problem is my friends putting them directly on top of objectives. It gets even better when the mines also bug one layer into the ground, so you can't even see them.

I wish you could press the “backpack” keybind button to toggle the drone backpacks on or off. The drones are really nice when you are getting swarmed by bugs, but when your friends are around or you are trying to go stealthy they are really frustrating.

That would definitely be the smart way to handle it. But I don't think they'll ever do it, since half the fun of the Helldivers experience is friendly fire.

Humans are the real space bugs; accomplishing your mission is mandatory … survival is optional

As soon as I had the mecha walker available, I could forgo the guard dog and put on autocannon or shield backpacks if I wanted.
