It's honestly amazing to me that the can canon actually works. I can't decide if a soup-sized version would work or not, but it would seem less fun anyhow.

Nope, it uses blanks to launch large projectiles like cans. There is no barrel. I don't know how or if they prevent real rounds from chambering but there is no barrel in the traditional sense. It attaches to a standard AR lower
