Why does anyone or anything need to be useful?
And maybe usefulness depends on the perspective. Maybe this axe could be used to demonstrate the importance of material choice in products.
Having financial security depends on your usefulness.
It would still be useful in the early game.
I wonder how good of a wooden axe you could make? Like what if you carved the axe head out of lignum vitae or something.
Not my choice for chopping wood, but even this one as is could fuck someone up with a good swing.
There has to be a video on YouTube of that guy that makes knives out of everything making one out of wood. I know I’ve seen one of him making one out of paper.

Sharpened wood can be just as dangerous as sharpened metal if used right.
Hell you can even harden the wood by heat treating it so it won't break as easily.
Interesting play. Now use diamond to sharpen it.
Still a good enough weapon tho.
