How's corny gonna get over 270 ec votes? He's not. This is why 3rd parties are pointless until we get rid of fptp voting and the ec.

Until then vote Dem or we lose democracy.

Or let's pretend he did.

What the fuck is a guy who has never held public office, who is filling his leadership team with more people who have never held public office, going to do when they are stuck with their hands tied with no allies in the presidency?

[–] DigitalTraveler42@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

Oh but he will sure be that much richer for running and getting Trump elected tho...

this is a public political iq test.

we put into office a guy who held no elected office of any kind and look how that worked out. are you going to do that again and expect a better result?

Democracy is when you are free to choose between giant turd and shit sandwich. Gobbless.

"West’s campaign said he had already secured ballot access in Alaska, Oregon, South Carolina and Utah, but some states require a running mate for independent candidates to get on the ballot."

Unless he gets on the ballot in enough states to hit 270 electoral votes, it's not going to matter...

Actually, won't matter anyway since he won't win a single state. But let's see here...

Alaska - 3
Oregon - 8
South Carolina - 9
Utah - 6

So 26 down, 244 to go!

But he can siphon crucial voting blocks away from Biden, causing Biden to lose states that he should've won. This is clearly a sabotage effort and I wonder who's funding it and how Cornell West's personal integrity could have dropped so low so suddenly.

26 down, 244 to go!

That should be the tagline for the VP announcement

a vote for west is a vote for trump.

these 3rd party runners have no realistic chance of winning the presidency and have a very real chance of sucking votes away from the only viable person who can beat trump.
