I don't think I agree with the ending, but this is still good to share with anyone you know touting AI accomplishments that are present today.

I remember somewhere...maybe true anon, they pointed to the whole Tesla Bot announcement as a vision of the future. In case you forgot, they announced they were building a robot and so as a concept showcase (for lack of better words) they had a guy in a suit being performative of what they wanted the vision to be.

But really...this is oddly insightful because this is the true future before us. AI and "automation" are just a way for them to further alienate and obfuscate the actual human labor responsible for everything.

I like how both Honda(ASIMO) and Boston Dynamic(Atlas) still can't find any real world use case for their bipedal humanoid robot, and Tesla decided to reveal plan of one by...showing the media of a dancing man...

the only reason for humanoid robots is fucking them and even that's a failure of imagination.

at least the quadrupedal ones have some non-military use in remote mountain villages.

I think that's why Boston Dynamics create Spot, Atlas is just their pet project to make and learn all these self balancing algorithm and tech. Same goes to Asimo.
