Oh for sure, he's from a East Coast blue blood family and is already a financial vampire

Yeah never give up your deterrent, even the bloodthirsty US doesn't want to see their troops get vaporized or have resource laden areas get irradiated before they can be exploited

I'll have to order some, sadly I don't have any locally sourced by me so Amazon way I'll have to go for it

Been doing marmite and nutritional yeast for soups will have to give them a try for sandwich making, also big fan of pickled beets so I'll have to make another batch soon (I ussually just snack from the jar or add them to potato salads or regular salads)

Falafel is awesome in a wrap with a good sauce

[–] Bloobish@hexbear.net 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

For chickpeas I've done the falafel in wraps and it's freaking awesome, I've thought similarly of doing a patty style with chickpeas and some type of binder.

Red onion is where it's at for sandwiches and salads

Gotta love the inherent fascist nature of capitalism come out in ways like having fucking segregated toy brands for ease of marketing and capitalization.

Twenty bucks the execs willfully ignore that audience or else the audience is obfuscated to them via their accountants given what a cash cow it's been for Hasbro

People forget that the majority owners of production/capital in American are out of touch, evil/angry, white men that do not do any form of introspection. Similar takes also occurred when shows like Teen Titans were attractive across more than just one gender but sadly that was bad because most cartoon production houses are owned by companies that think He-Man and the 1970s are still very much alive and kicking (i.e. we market to mono gendered audiences only no matter what the statistics and rating say).

Truly capitalism is the most rational system on this Earth! curious-marx

Looks more like the DPRK style, but Singapore also has some really nice social housing though not on the scale of China, Vietnam or North Korea

So I've never been a fan of the sickly sweet oatmeals and other western style breakfast cereals, especially those with lots of sugar, so I've started recently getting into savory oatmeals and other porridges. My favorite so far is using a base dashi stock, miso paste and chili oil alongside some chopped light vegetables such as kimchi and scallions (water spinach is also good when finely diced).

Pretty good Helldivers rap with some great lyrics, that'll likely fall on deaf gamers ears but sans-shrug

Another good intro to leftism by SecondThought, good to share for those you know just now figuring out liberals are just another flavor of western fascism and chauvinism.

Don't know how many peeps here have seen the latest season of True Detective called "Night Country", but so far I've really enjoyed it. However strolling over to lovely reddit-logo has a lot of blubbering manchildren upset about the new season which just so happens to have two female leads, focuses upon abuses of Native Alaskans and women in general (domestic abuse, murder, etc), and also has native empowerment over exploitation as a theme. Well I just watched the final episode and I fuckin' loved it, so here's kinda a short tldr of it marked as a spoiler as I encourage y'all to see the show first if you haven't (it's an anthology so really only Seasons 1, 3 and this one are worth it).

spoilerAlright so the season began with a murder/suicide of a bunch of research scientists digging up ice cores to find microbes for eternal life or whatever (they had been found naked dead on the ice), however while checking the crime scene a human tongue is found and connected with the murder of a Alaskan Native woman several years ago by the name of Annie K (a woman that protested the activities of the local mining corp that was poisoning the town leading to stillbirths and other horrible stuff). Annie was a central figure to the town's native population being one of the younger upcoming midwives and spiritualist (don't know the proper term). She had been found stabbed and dumped over by the mine and her murder buried by the police and local politicians in cooperation with the mine to avoid public backlash.

Welp turns out she was murdered by the Tsalal scientists when she found out they were the ones responsible for the pollution in a bid to thaw the permafrost and ice to get to harder to reach ice core samples. This would later be found out by the local circle of Native Women who performed a lot of the menial labor in town (maids and so had access to a lot of areas such as the police station, the mining office and the Tsalal station), so in revenge the women staged a faked suicide on to the ice, forcing the men at gunpoint to strip and wander into a blizzard for the sins they committed (all the men were responsible for stabbing Annie K to death Agustus Ceasar style when she tried sneaking into Tsalal many years ago to find info on the pollution). Anyway the season ends with the current cop duo covering for the Native women and letting the murder go unsolved as well as resolving issues of mother hood and sisterhood (similar to how season 1 was about the lacking of fathers and brothers/comrades as a secondary theme).

So yeah gonna be a lot of wojak-nooo in response to the show being turned into "Woke Detective". Anyway it's a pretty good season and is worth a try even though it does drag sometimes (but is thankfully only 6 episodes something I think was wisely chosen by the show lead).

Guess we are getting Deli style no billionaire Batman

Honestly surprised it took so long for a mainstream attempt at a zoo horror game, setting is ripe with it as well as the possible themes. Zoochosis for instance is actually the mental breakdown and psychosis zoo animals can suffer under from long term confinement without proper enrichment at zoos.

So yeah title says it all, currently around 8 months into a new hospital position and I've been extending my feelers out and doing job apps and got back invites to the start of preliminary interviews for some other jobs (mainly cuss there is likely going to be no significant pay raises for all us new hires until 2 years out so fuck that).

Bring this up to parents though and they have the weirdest attitude as though I'm betraying my company as well as shooting myself in the foot even though if I got some of these positions I'm interviewing for I'd see a huge pay bump and really good benefits (one of them is a state gig and has a damned good pension plan with only 5 years to be vested fully).
