I was at a large event recently and created an account for the sole purpose of posting something in the subreddit for the event. Only I guess I didn't have enough karma or whatever ?? so it just didn't show my post to anyone but me. Of course they don't tell you that you need a certain threshold or anything, so to me it just looked like my post was just sitting there. I guess they do it for spam, but I don't understand why they can't tell you that. It's outright hostile to new users.
