Multiple different things can be dumbass pseudoscience, actually. Any time someone starts talking about what humans "were meant to eat", I'm done listening. Humans can and do survive and thrive on an extremely broad variety of diets. It's part of why societies were able to develop in so many different places.

This particular type of home solar implementation runs into a scalability issue where each piece is hard-limited by the ampacity of the outlet its plugged into, so at a certain point it can only scale out to be plugged into more outlets and take up more space.

Also, having a system thay feeds into an outlet is quite scary, since the male side of the plug is energized. I get the convenience of this "plug and play" sort of device, but I'd much prefer to see something hardwired and enclosed.

Magic? Nothing to blink twice at!

Hair color that's fun for the player? Realism ruined.

They sure have. The lesson is that it only costs $10k to lie about where you offer broadband

I do lighting design as a part of my job. I met a vendor marketing a 40,000K fixture at an event I went to a few weeks ago.

That was not a typo. Forty Thousand

I feel where you're coming from, and on the other side of that I think labels can do a lot of good. There's a lot of relief and comfort that comes when someone who might otherwise have thought themself broken discovering that there are more out there like them. Finding a label that resonates can get them there. I'm speaking from firsthand experience.

It's coming at the tail end of a "lets try all menu items from [fast food chain]" arc

There's a certain balance we've yet to strike. Not necessarily having a living handed to you, but being in a situation where if a rough couple weeks knocks you out on your ass, you can meet your basic needs while you get back up on your feet.

I agree. As long as there are drivers, there will be shitty drivers, so it's worthwhile to design roads in a way that minimizes the chance that shitty driving will kill people.
