I love my screen time but if there was free ping pong somewhere outside or something I'd go there a lot. Same for rock climbing, board game spaces... I'd get out for a lot. Screen time is a cheap substitute for this real stuff.

If you live in a closed state primary like Florida, you do have to join to vote in the primaries of your party.

That verse you posted said 7x7 years, so every 49 years, with one year off after, so a 50 year cycle. Then I guess they "buy" land throughout the next 50 year cycle based on how many years remain. Ie, if it's 25 years into the cycle, the price for a field might be half off. Not a terrible system really, for the age. At the end of the cycle, it all goes back to the "clan" to be resold again.

I don't think that's what actually happened. I think people just used it as an excuse. I think it amounts to people not wanting to admit they are <racist, misogynist, Nazi, homophobic, etc> and are looking for an excuse, any excuse, to vote for their secret interests. "Oh I would have voted for Harris, but... She laughed this one time... And really, Trump just feels like a better use of my vote now."

Aren't there lawsuits being brought forward for some statistical discrepancies though? Not proof yet, but it's not like it is entirely without doubt it could have been manipulated.

This is completely false. There is a reading guide that Catholics are encouraged to follow every day. I think it traverses the entire Bible every 3 years in this manner, with everyone reading the same passages at the same time to encourage discussion.

You might be thinking old school, back when mass was in Latin.

Impeached from the House sets up for conviction from the Senate. We need all of Congress to go through for it to have any effect.

Stock market as a whole is...okay I guess. These one-off, bulletproof companies are silly. It's almost a religion and the people who hold the stock truly believe that Tesla is going to make automatic cars that will drive everyone while also making autonomous robots that will do everyone's laundry and the current problems are nothing compared to the beliefs in the future. The value will hold until it doesn't (eg, they finally need the money for today's bills in a recession that cost them their jobs), and then the value will plummet to something that actually looks normal for the sales they are making at this time.

Until they need their money, they have the unshakable belief they will all be millionaires as soon as Tesla comes out with the world changing techs and has no competition. Should be any day now. Or maybe in 2 weeks.

It's basically a mathematical consequence of First Past the Post voting system. Until we get Ranked Choice Voting or similar, we will always only have the 2 parties. And since we need at least one of those parties to support a new voting system, I'm not holding my breath to see a sweeping change there. Happily, a couple states have embraced Ranked Choice Voting, so maybe a change can occur in time.

At my work it's just an intranet with no outside email access. Only the store manager has that. You also are not allowed to plug in USBs to anything. So if you want something printed that was not emailed on the Interoffice mail, you have to email it to the store manager.

Based on previous guy's logic: D.

I know A, B, and C are definitely wrong, but I'm not sure I fully understand D. So it's D and move on.

Reality is I make a note and discuss with the teacher if they don't notice themselves when tests come back.

I just got a CO2 meter and checked the levels in my house and went down a rabbit hole trying to address the issue. Apparently it would take 249 areca palms to offset the carbon RESPIRATION of one adult.

So okay 249 trees just for me to breathe, not to mention the rest of the bad things we all do.

So how can this math ever balance? 249 trees just to break even seems like an impossible number. Then all the flights I have been on, miles driven, etc.

I feel like that's... Way too many trees. Is it hopeless or am I missing something?
