hey I got a story like that. I was in japan. my japanese was alright, I had attended two intensive courses before that, so I got around. But obviously i'm not japanese and everyone heard and saw that. I sat in a small eatery and ordered some Gyoza. This guy in a business suit next to me was all excited in japanese "oh you like Gyoza! how do you know about it?" and we started talking a bit, where he asked where I was from. I said that I'm from germany, where he immediately switched and we talked in German... weird experience.

I really feared that this would be a stupid article about how Germany cannot criticise Israel or how they have an obligation to support the eradication of Palestine. But I actually agree with some of the assessment of the dangers.

Yet while artists and writers are cancelled for their alleged antisemitism, real neo-Nazism is on the rise, with the far-right party AfD, Alternative for Germany, winning local elections and mainstream politicians float the idea of doing deals with them.

Ich meine...doof formuliert. Klar ist Zuwanderung eins der größten Probleme. Denn wir behandeln die Zuwandernden schlecht, sie sollten nicht flüchten müssen, sie sollten hier gut aufgehoben sein, die Debatte soll mehr um deren Bedürfnisse gehen und der globale Westen sollte seiner Verantwortung gerecht werden.

Der Zustand ist also ein Problem. Aber das steht da natürlich nicht.

Fakt: 10% der Menschen sammeln 80-90% des Reichtums an Die selben 10% verursachen ungefähr 50% des CO2 Ausstoßes. (Quelle: Oxfam, 2020) Dieselben 10% reden den restlichen 90% ein, sich gegenseitig die Schuld zuzuschieben.

Ist deshalb jeder Mensch frei von Verantwortung und Einfluss? Nein. Aber wir sind so untereinander zerstückelt worden und haben das zugelassen, dass wir keine gemeinsame Front aufbauen können für das Allgemeinwohl. AFD wählen ist eine Reaktion auf "die da sind Schuld dass es dir so schlecht geht", aber "die da" sind bei der AFD eben Ausländer und andere Minderheiten. Jetzt zu behaupten, dass es das gleiche wäre, sich gegen die Superreichen und Großkonzerne zu verbünden, führt wieder zum gleichen Ziel: "Alle sind gleich Schuld" (solange ihr euch nicht zusammen tut und eure tatsächliche Macht als Arbeiter*innen an euch nehmt, ist uns alles Recht)

it's interesting how many comments show that people like to read the headline and are content with that to form an opinion. literally the first paragraph says that it's not "THERE ARE NO POSTS" but it says that the "feed is swamped by a combination of perfectly curated photos and professionally created content." - the problem is that the paid content creators have become GOOD. so many of them really look like they are just opinions and casual mentions of movies/clothes/...things. viral marketing is really at a point where so many fronts that have been established have been broken down in the guise of "irony" or "sarcasm". "I'm only buying the Barbie merch ironically" etc.
