Islam as religious text basis doesn't really differ in a bad way from the other two Abrahamic religions. It even gives some extra rights to women that Christianity and Judaism don't. Forcing hijab on women is also expressively banned in Islamic theological texts. Doesn't change how it works in practice as forced hijab is pretty common in fundamentalistic Islamic theocracies. But might explain why converting is a little bit less insane than at the surface level. If I had to choose one of the Abrahamic religions on a purely theological basis I might end up choosing Islam. Please note, I am not trying to give a pass to Islam, Islamic countries or especially fundamentalist Muslims. The issues are myriad. People outside Islamic countries just have a somewhat skewed image of the religion. Both in theory and practice.

Because people both under and overestimate organized crime. It is a weird beast. The majority of people don't run into them in a way they know it. And when you for some reason do, you learn to shut your mouth entirely or apart from the need-to-know basis depending on your cause to have run-ins with them. Not always because you think they are going to retaliate but from pretty complex reasons.
It is easy to say when it is not you. Unless you are in that exact situation their complexities mean that you really shouldn't judge others for the approaches they take. Even if you would take the risk, judging others when they wouldn't is not really a good policy.
I think you are not aware how troubled teen industry is run at least in the US. Just so you are aware that they are places full of physical, sexual and mental abuse. It is like you sent your kids to a camp but instead of summer camp, it was a refugee or concentration camp.
There is no one Christian opinion now or any time history about abortion. But if you want to go with Augustine, Thomas Aquinas and Pope Innocent III early abortion before quickening was not a sin as per the two latter that is when the fetus is ensouled. That is around the middle of the second trimester. Popes Sixtus V and Stephen V both were against it at any point. Luther seems to be against it at any point.
My question is why are Americans electing them? While we have a similar age group structure, if anything our median age is larger, middle age of our parliament is little bit over 47 years.
Please note that it is not only a US-specific issue. Right has especially in its extreme lengths always been somewhat oppressive and as the right has become more right (again) (also read as in more fascist) in recent years oppressive policies they support are getting more and more oppressive.
I thought so but didn't want to assume too much as I am not in the US. Usually these days global fascists are pretty connected and using the same playbook.
They have successfully managed to further this othering and dehumanizing of refugees to the point where an illegal immigrant is the term that is more commonly used instead of the correct term which is a refugee in colloquial discussion. In legal one, it gets a little bit more complicated but generally people don't even need to be aware of that.
I am with you. And maybe a little bit salty about the majority of people. But then again the rise of fascism really has been staring me in the face for a decade. I am an aid worker focusing on refugees. You can imagine the messages I have gotten. Including the most insane, actually copied race purity propaganda leaflet with notes I got through snail mail. In a weird way, you almost have to respect the effort.
While trans rights are at least in the US as much or more under fire, in Europe it has also been refugees. On that front, it has gone from "just" criminalizing and harassing that group but also people who somehow are supporting that group. Which is only really relevant to show how far we are in the journey towards fascism in the West.
It is insane enough that I actually have to weekly remind myself that this is reality.
I'm so, so, so sorry. My infraorbital nerve runs through my maxillary sinus and I had really fucking bad 3-month sinus infection that caused nerve pain on that isolated nerve (among a lot of other things). I can't imagine how you are dealing with this even though I do have nerve pain elsewhere.
Immunotherapy is also often called cancer treatment vaccine. And HepB vaccine also protects from liver cancer associated with Hep B.
