You can always stop trying to distinguish between dreams and reality and just accept whatever you're experiencing as a sort of superposition of both.

Yo, that's such a cool dream and it's cool to talk to a Lakota. I love trippy dreams.

I had a dream last night where I was walking through a forest with some of my older relatives who had passed away (dad and grandpa) and we were just talking about life and I was asking for advice. I can't remember anything that was "said", but the dream resulted in the same sense of peace and calm that I normally got when talking to them irl.

There are multiple housing problems and they're all probably way more complicated than anyone wants to acknowledge. The highest priority "housing problem" right now imo is that there are people who don't have a safe place to sleep at night.

In order to solve that problem you need

  1. Safe housing to provide to those people
  2. A system for assigning those people to the housing.

Building/acquiring housing costs money. If the government isn't doing its job and spending money to solve this problem we need to

  1. Hold them accountable through voting
  2. Take matters into our own hands as a community and attempt to contribute to a local solution in whatever capacity we're able to contribute (donations, volunteering, organizing). Once we have legitimate trustworthy organizations that are doing a good job solving the problem then we can hopefully proceed by driving more support for them.

Creating a system to assign individuals to housing is probably the more "difficult" part because there needs to be some sort of consensus on the mechanics of prioritization. I personally think we should prioritize housing for individuals and families with children, but after that I don't know who we should serve next.

Specifically the most acid trippy chapter of the Bible that describes the end of the world.

If this happens irl I'll have your back. I'm totally comfortable replying with something stupid like "And what are you supposed to be you? I would call you 'sir', but you're not acting like a man."

That's super cool, I've wanted to do something similar like this but never have had the opportunity.

Who cares if they're trolling?

What's the downside to assuming they posted this image in good faith?

Does it upset you that people might have different preferences than what you feel are the "correct" preferences?

Instead of reposting a picture outside of its original context, why not make a post with your own tier list and use it as a way to genuinely engage with other people?

Take that back, Chick Tracts are gold.

I believe the average American inmate is more likely to want a Bible than a Quran.

This is what it feels like to grow old.

That makes sense.

Would that also mean if a tree falls in the forest it always makes a sound because there's always "someone" around to hear it? It sounds like we could say that the air or ground is "observing" the sound waves or impact made by the collision?

"Observe means observed by a conscious being"

Can something without consciousness make an observation?

What if there were voice chat channels you could join in a thread to discuss posts? The idea would be to give people a richer way of communicating instead of just typing comments and replies.

Update: I just realized what I really wanted was to have a conversation, so I'm going to get off the internet and actually go talk to people in the real world.

If what they believe is true, one day they may be forced to realize their mistakes.
