If the masses get violent enough to declare martial law, martial law ain't gonna save the declarer.

You can't get a balloon pilot's license without a formal diagnosis. :)

He thinks Europe and the rest of NATO is a bunch of freeloaders, living under (expensive) security provided by the US. All the Canada/Greenland talk is bluster to get Europe to spend money on their own military.

The scary shit is the Birthright Citizenship stuff, and he doesn't even actually care about either "birthright" or "citizenship". What he cares about is the 14th amendment phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof".

The kind of people who are not "subject to the jurisdiction" of the US are agents of a foreign government. Generally, we think "diplomat", but the other major group is "enemy combatants". Enemy invaders are not subject to US law, and are not entitled to constitutional protections. They can be targeted by the military. If captured, they can be detained indefinitely (until the conclusion of never-ending hostilities) as POWs, or deported without involving the courts.

He wants to solve the immigration problem with Apache gunships, B-52s, Abrams tanks, and the 82nd airborne, rather than ICE and the courts. If he needs a war to do that, a war we shall have.

Yeah?

Check out the rest of the comments in this thread. Getting a lot of insightful and innovative policy discourse from your post?

If you care about policy, you'll avoid any mention of that person in the future. As soon as her name is mentioned, the policy conversation ends.

Again, I don't much care for her,

Who do you care for? Let's spend a little more time on people who actually matter.

I don't see SCOTUS allowing this in this context, but they will reaffirm that it is valid during wartime.

Which just means we're going to be in a shooting war in Central America by summer.

She has been a major player in the party since the 90s. She is, indeed, largely responsible for the current state of the party.

Hot air balloon pilot here: We do, indeed.

This is a "Cloudhopper". It's a hot air balloon with no basket: The pilot straps a propane tank to his back and wears a climbing harness. As you can see, the pilot is, effectively, walking on water with the assistance of the balloon.

Cloudhoppers are about 20,000 to 35,000 cubic feet, 40-50 feet in diameter. They are about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of most of the balloons you might see at a fair or festival.

Shooting the messenger is not strategically sound.

She's not the messenger. She is the speaker. Here, she is attempting to exert her own brand of political influence.

Her political influence is largely responsible for the sorry state of the Democratic party today.

Whatever message needs to be sent, someone else can send it.

But if I send money to the new wallet from my personal wallet, won't that be on blockchain forever?

The two wallets will forever be connected, sure. But, are they connected as two wallets belonging to the same person, or are they connected as a buyer and a seller?

Bitcoin is not inherently anonymous. Quite the reverse: Every transaction is deliberately public.

Go be irrelevant somewhere else, Hillary.

I do steady, part time work as a blacksmith, because I love it.

I also work for a hot air balloon ride company, again, because I love it. But, the balloon business is seasonal and weather dependent. We fly about 8 months out of the year, and about half our scheduled flights are canceled due to weather.

I'm looking for one more hobby/gig to do in the off-season or when it's just not flyable.

Something more interesting than DoorDash... I really don't want to go back to that.

Z59.71 is a medical diagnostic code for "Insufficient health insurance coverage".

It's a diagnosis that should never have existed.

That David wrapped around his neck before pleasing himself and meeting his Lord.

The Outrageous: Homeowner Lannie Fentress was beaten and arrested for trying to put out a fire in his own home.

The Interesting: A special grand jury assembled to investigate the charges refused to indict Mr. Fentress.

The Amusing: That same grand jury turned around and indicted Police Sgt. DJ Newton, the arresting officer.

Gripe #1: From inbox, replying directly to a comment, I get the error "Could not determine post to comment to". I don't have this problem when I am viewing a comment in a post's, thread, only when viewing it from the inbox.

Gripe #2: Tapping the comment in the inbox takes me to the comment thread for the post, but does not take me to the specific comment within that thread. In a long thread, I can't always find the specific comment I am trying to reply to.

Edit: version 0.2.4

Edit2: Gripe #3: haven't figured out how to edit posts within Thunder; had to switch to Connect to make these edits...

I am getting this error pretty regularly. I'll see a message in my inbox, and when I tap through to view it in context, it's missing. Can't find a cause or a workaround.
