Good point and this is exactly what I'm trying to make. I want to start with the battery for emergency power and want to add a home made MPPT solar charger to it.

My battery design involves having a thermal fuse of 65C sandwiched in between parallel cells. I will also periodically check the batteries with a thermal camera to see if any are misbehaving.

Hmm ANT does have better documentation and differentiates between peak current and continuous current. They look more genuine.

It is but it's a Valve managed version of Arch. It will get recent packages but not as cutting edge as upstream Arch.
