I remember having this conversation with my mom when I was young and saying something like, “Well that’s great then, this is an easy win. Scientists should be able to examine them and confirm the change and then we know what the Bible is telling us is true,” and she replied that that’s not how faith works. And I was dumbfounded and like, “But… it would be so easy…”

And that lesson of how willfully choosing ignorance is somehow something to be valued was a key turning point in my waking up to the bullshit of religion. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Right? A Real Genius quote in the wild just made my day!

Yeah I’m glad it’s not a vital part of the experience but don’t mind that it’s there for people who like it. Kind of like card games in real life. :)

I do not understand this at all… but I respect it.

Am I the only one that avoids Gwent altogether when playing Witcher? Like, I don’t go to that world to play cards, if I’m loading it up it’s cause it’s swords and magic time.

I watched it recently and it’s shocking how well it’s held up. Aside from the fashion, it feels like it could have been made last year.

It’s being reported the cloned voice is being used in news reports on YouTube channels such as The Intellectualist on issues such as the Ukraine-Russia war and the Donald Trump.

Speaking of AI, seems like this article was written by it as well.

With the demise of Omnivore I was about to roll out an alternative on my NAS. How does this compare to Wallabag?

Damn I just randomly selected a Voyager ep last night and it was the one where he was a Hirogen hunting a stranded Species 8472. Then I see this today. 😢

Even in full makeup and under a mask it was unmistakenly him, the man was a goddamn imposing presence. You will be missed, sir! 🫡

Same. I’m fucking furious. I specifically chose it over something like Readwise in order to stay open source. Ugh.
