Absolutely agree with you, it’s about finding that value curve, where quality scales well with price. Say the cheapest ‘something’ is $10, the $20 one is twice as good, the $40 is maybe 70% better again but the $80 might only be 10% better than that.

As a beginner, I’d go for maybe the $20 option or the $40 if I were confident I’d stick with it. But yeah, it’s a pain when your ability to enjoy or succeed at a hobby is hampered by buying the cheapest option off AliExpress, haha.

It’s not perfect but PiHole will still catch a lot of the ads if you have the know-how to set one up. Tis a relatively cheap and easy solution that has the benefit of being able to block ads network-wide, providing your router lets you set a custom DNS.

I was absolutely obsessed with SR2 as a kid, replayed it so many times.

I think they could and absolutely should reboot it. The lore, the characters, the world was really something else. I think if they were to revisit it and utilise modern advances to really go HARD on the atmosphere and world design, it could be amazing.

The Dead Space remake is a perfect example of this. It’s stayed mostly true to the original and used the new graphical and lighting technology available to make the environment and atmosphere so much deeper and more immersive. I’ve heard the RE4 remake also did it well but I’ve not played it yet.

The geofencing thing feels like something Apple could easily resolve. When they review an app, they should just randomly spoof their location.

Holy fuck, I have no idea what they were on before but 31% is monumental! Good for them :)

I wasn’t aware this existed, very cool!

One thing I would say is Bluetooth is inherently laggy, though low-latency codecs help a lot.

If you have issues with latency again, I’d recommend buying a pair of RF headphones instead. Radio is super low latency. Downside is that the guitar would need to be wired to an RF transmitter but it’s an option.

Gotta be my favourite Primus song of all time and the music video is just a goddamn masterpiece 👌

It depends on the account for me but I’ve got a couple slow ones. Naturally, one of them is the one I use for all my 2FA, rendering my accounts impenetrable, even to me.

The other slow one is the one I use for the 2FA for the first email account. The most secure system there is!

Hell yeah, maximum parenting 💪 barely saw my dad when I was a kid, always away on business. I work 100% remote since my first kid was born, get to spend all day every day with my kids now, never going back.
