The most unbelievable thing about the Gabriel Bell story is not that the Sanctuary Districts would exist, but that Americans would see the inherent humanity of the poor and actually do something to help them after a riot and hostage crisis.

I was talking to a family friend who is a professor of linguistics recently and he joked that with skibidi toilet and ipad parents, linguists might finally be able to finish research that halted when parents stopped abandoning their babies in the woods to be raised by animals.

Who wants in on my grift for "Tactical Moisturizer"? Store brand moisturizer repacked into a camo bottle with a Navy Seal on the box for a 500% mark up.

Capitalism commodified meeting people, dating, sex, and marriage. Then it points the finger at femism and minorities when people complain that they're lonely.

American foreign policy is essentially just age of sail imperialism but with "democratic" subbing in for "Christian".

"They're not Christian so we can kill them and take their stuff" has become "They're not democratic so we can kill them and take their stuff."

Also works on the next level because even if someone outside the European ingroup becomes democratic or Christian, that democracy or Christianity just becomes a lever of control for extractive economics.

I didn't mean you comrade, I didn't think for a second you were glorifying alcohol. My heartfelt apologies if I made you feel attacked or sad.

I think that it's unironically very messed up that we are not expected to put CWs on posts glorifying alcohol and drug usage when we are expected to put CWs on animal products.

I think that if we can be considerate enough to vegans to CW meat then we can also be considerate to people who are grappling with addiction or have lost loved ones to substances.

Truly sorry for your loss, OP.

If the rumors are true then you are better off addressing that question to the kpop industry.

South Korean military after the DPRK starts applying a mirror coating to drones: "Ahh. Well... Nevertheless."

Jokes aside, the real challenge will be cooling and targeting and fire rate. China has already got swarming drone attack munitions in service so it's less of a matter of how much it costs to down one drone and more of a matter of can this thing fire fast enough to down 10, 20, or 50 drones in a minute.

The South Korean defence industry is very interesting because its products are being treated as substitute goods for American/German/French weapons by 2nd tier NATO and vassal powers but all of them are essentially completely untested in any sort of conflict and who the fuck even knows how the supply chain from South Korea to (say) Poland will hold up in an actual conflict. I suspect that a lot of it is just NAFO types blindly cheerleading whatever tanks their side buys.
