I think it's a reference to Lucas editing the movies to account for later released ones.

Silica dust will kick up off the nearby dunes, carry in the wind, but due to its weight it’ll be less likely to erode higher elevations. So the tip top of the pyramid is high enough up sand in the wind won’t reach it as easily so it erodes way slower.

That, and the pyramids were stripped for building materials later on. Lower levels were easier to access, so people didn't generally bother going all the way to the top, except for the ones with gold covered peaks.

I just assumed light speed was a colloquialism for hyperdrive.

At any rate, hyperdrive blows warp out of the water in raw speed. A trip across the galaxy is just a few days. The downside is that you're pretty much limited to already charted safe routes unless you want to test your luck with potential ship-killing hazards that can't be detected before hitting them.

People convinced that the expensive treatment is a scam and there's a cheap cure never seem to realize that if the cheap cure actually worked it would quickly become a very expensive cure.

I think it's more that you have to purchase the item before you can agree to the EULA. That said, it's extremely rare for anyone to try and challenge them in court, and when they do they pretty much always settle so the court can't actually demand any changes to EULAs.

They already did. The percentage range on your phone's battery display is basically a usable range rather than an absolute range. The article talks about phone manufacturers making changes to their charging systems to optimize battery function, but the headline bit about not charging past a certain point has been taken into account by Android and iOS for ages.

At a guess, are those flushes inventoried and accounted for? Would someone notice if they came up short?

I think part of the problem is that videogame writers are almost never willing to lie to the player. Characters will mislead you by being selective about what they say, and sometimes a character is mistaken about something and unintentionally gives you false information, but I can count on one hand the times a character has deliberately fed me falsehoods.
